SOBRE MIM ABOUT ME
Intimidade Pública é meu primeiro filme de longa metragem. Ele foi feito num processo colaborativo com os atores e a equipe, e nunca teve um roteiro escrito ou qualquer financiamento. O tema do filme, como lidamos com o amor e a sexualidade, é muito importante para mim. Eu quis fazer um filme sobre pessoas reais em situações reais. As cenas do filme foram filmadas por mim conforme íamos improvisando nas locações. Eu espero que vocês gostem da trajetória desses personagens tanto quanto nós gostamos de fazê-los. Eu não consigo dizer isto sem emoção: nós derramamos nossos corações nesse filme. Eu espero que nossa emoção possa ser também a sua.
Public Intimacy is my first feature film. It was made as a collaborative process with the actors and crew, and it never had a written script or a budget. The theme of the film, how we deal with love and sexuality, is very dear to me. I wanted to make a film about real people in real situations. The scenes on the movie were shot by me as we improvised on locations. I hope you enjoy the journey of these characters as much as we did making them. I cannot say this without emotion: we poured our hearts into this movie; I hope our emotion can be yours too.
Luciana Canton estudou cinema na ECA-USP, período em que foi assistente de direção de Walter Salles no longa "Terra Estrangeira". Após se formar, fez cursos na New York University. Ela estudou o método Meisner na New York Academy for Dramatic Arts. Luciana ministra aulas atualmente na Escola Livre de Cinema e Vídeo e na Universidade de São Paulo, onde faz seu doutorado. "Intimidade Pública" é seu primeiro longa metragem.
Luciana Canton studied film at the University of São Paulo, when she was assistant director to Walter Salles in "Foreign Land". After graduating, she studied at the New York University continuing education. She studied the Meisner Technique at the New York Academy for Dramatic Arts. Luciana teaches at the Free School of Cinema and Video of Santo André and at the University of São Paulo, where she does her PHD. Public Intimacy is her first feature film.
